HPR Queens Coronation 2023
Embark on a brand new self-guided virtual tour of the House of Czech and Slovak Republics in Balboa Park, San Diego.
Hi everyonere
We are excited to share some great news with you all about the accomplishments and recognitions of two of our members, our Vice President, Daniele Laman and Marketa Hancova.
Daniele Laman has been chosen to represent Council District 9 on the eleven-member board appointed by the mayor. This board is called the SD Parks & Recreation board and is chartered by the City to serve as an advisory board on matters relating to the acquisition, development, maintenance, and operations of parks, beaches, and recreation facilities.
Marketa Hancova was named by the California Legislature in Sacramento A Woman of Impact in Arts and Culture 2023 for 77th District and presented the honor by Assemblymember Tasha Boerner. Marketa feels that even though the award was given to her for her overall effort, her role in the cottage and the Czech and Slovak Community played a part in the recognition.
Congratulations ladies! You are amazing! We wish you more success in the future!
