Adults and children are welcome, you do not have to have a child to participate! WHAT TO EXPECT! A beautifully decorated hall, the appearance of St. Nick with an angel and a good-humored devil! We will do arts&craft, we will carol with a live acoustic music, we will have a performance of a fairy tale by children, a story of Christmas and Christmas music by a surprised musician! And refreshments! Join us!

WHAT TO DO TO BE READY: Parents: prepare a package for your children with a name tag, two girls in the red hats will take the package from you so we can (in all secrecy) give it to the St. Nick aka Mikulas. Practice with your child a song or a short poem for Mikulas, you can help!

We will have water, coffee and hot spiced wine and cider for you, please bring something tasty for the common table. Children are free, we ask adults for a donation, we hope we can count on your generosity... so we can cover all of our expenses!

PARKING: available in the bank parking lot across from the Hall and there is plenty parking on the streets, especially one block above the Hall to the right.

Let us usher you, with carols and Christmass spirit, into the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!l

Summer Camp

This was so much fun!!!

Our campers walked through the Balboa Park with their cameras and took pictures at Japanese Friendship Garden, San Diego Museum of Man and even competed at the “Find the Red Color” photography contest. All winners got a price! They did photograph themselves at the classroom and learned about Portrait setting and lighting. Each of them brought one beautiful printed picture home.

Music teacher tough them variety of dances from different countries and states. They also wore some beautiful, handmade costumes coming from Europe. Even boys participated in traditional folk dances!

Ceramics was very creative with some extraordinary pinch pot Monsters and so much needed plates for food. Our oldest student showed an amazing skill in creating Greek inspired sculpture and made a beautiful torso.

Our 2017 Summer season has come to an end, but we are already looking forward to 2018. We will have more information coming soon with dates and tuition shortly.

The House of the Czech and Slovak Republics is a Non-Profit, Non-Political Organization

Established in 1935, our organization serves as a meeting place for those who either want to celebrate their Czech and Slovak Heritage or want to learn more about our unique cultures. You do not need to know either of the languages to become a member.
