Friends of Slovak Folklore inviting you to an 8th annual anniversary of Czech, Moravian and Slovak Folklore Festival on May 19, 2018, at La Mesa Community Center 4975 Memorial Dr, La Mesa, California 91941.
Dances and songs from different regions by folklore group Karicka; children groups Podkovicka, and Slunicko; children from Czech schools in San Diego.
You can be part of it!!! We are looking for vendors, and volunteers. The next House of Czech and Slovak Republics annual "picnic" will take place on Saturday, Jun 9th at 11:30 AM at the Soup Plantation on 7095 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. 92117. Members are free, guests pay at the cashier. Please RSVP either via the website e-mail or let Jarka O know. There will be no formal meeting but we will vote on the Bylaws. If you have any suggestions please let Olga know.

Classes are for K-8th grade
We have space for 15 students, if there is no room for requested dates, you will be on waiting list.

Registration 2018 is Open!
The Cottage is open to visitors on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from noon through 5 PM. Volunteer House of Czech and Slovak members serve refreshments and visitors are welcome to view the displays of photos, a video presentation, and cultural items.

When: Saturdays and Sundays for 5 consecutive hours from 11 AM - 5 PM
Come and join us during our monthly meeting or visit our cottage on Saturday or Sunday, noon to 5 PM. Donations are accepted and appreciated. During the afternoon, hosts willingly answer question about our two republics and provide information about the artifacts on display.
The House of the Czech and Slovak Republics is a Non-Profit, Non-Political Organization
Established in 1935, our organization serves as a meeting place for those who either want to celebrate their Czech and Slovak Heritage or want to learn more about our unique cultures. You do not need to know either of the languages to become a member.
